Backend Telemetry Engineer

Job Summary

To support innovative cloud systems for connected devices, the full-time Backend Telemetry Engineer will build backend services for telemetry, design data models, and develop APIs while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Build backend services for telemetry, device state, events, dashboards, and partner integrations
• Design data models for machines, locations, users, events, and operational activities
• Implement event ingestion pipelines, monitoring, alerting, and audit logs

Required qualifications

• Strong backend engineering experience with production systems, APIs, and telemetry platforms
• Proficiency in programming languages such as TypeScript, Python, Go, Java, Kotlin, or Rust
• Experience with relational databases, time-series data, and cloud infrastructure
• Understanding of secure system design, authentication, and monitoring
• Experience with IoT, fleet management, or real-time monitoring systems
