Job Summary

A company is looking for a Backend Streaming Video Specialist to architect and build video streaming infrastructure for an XR sports and entertainment product.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable video streaming architecture with adaptive bitrate protocols and CDN optimization
• Build real-time transcoding pipelines and low-latency video delivery systems for live content
• Develop video processing services that integrate with XR frontend applications and external data APIs

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of backend engineering experience with 2+ years in Senior/Lead positions specializing in video streaming systems
• Expert knowledge of video codecs (H.264, H.265), streaming protocols (HLS, DASH, WebRTC), and adaptive bitrate technologies
• Experience building real-time transcoding services, video processing pipelines, and low-latency streaming solutions
• Strong background in CDN integration and scalable video infrastructure design
• Understanding of video quality metrics and live streaming challenges
