Background Screening Specialist
Job Summary
Supporting a Big 4 consulting client, the contract Background Screening Specialist will review background reports, clear discrepancies, and verify supporting documentation in a fully remote environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Review and evaluate background screening reports for compliance, including employment, education, and criminal history
- Work directly with suppliers, staffing partners, and candidates to investigate and resolve discrepancies
- Audit and verify secondary documentation such as W-2s, 1099s, diplomas, and transcripts
Required qualifications:
- 2+ years of background screening, adjudication, or HR onboarding verification experience
- Strong experience in reviewing compliance documents and clearing report discrepancies
- Proven ability to thrive in a high-volume, detail-heavy setting with minimal ramp-up time
- Experience with major screening tools such as Sterling, HireRight, First Advantage, or Checkr is a plus
