Backstage Developer

Job Summary

Seeking a skilled Backstage Developer for a 100% remote, full-time position, responsible for building and extending Backstage backend services, implementing developer platform capabilities, and integrating with enterprise systems.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and extend Backstage backend services, including plugins and platform integrations
• Implement developer platform capabilities such as scaffolding flows and automation of onboarding steps
• Integrate Backstage with enterprise developer systems and ensure consistent API design and performance tuning

Required qualifications

• Proven experience in Backstage development and backend engineering
• Strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript, with production-grade engineering experience
• Experience with Python for building and maintaining automation components
• Familiarity with platform integration and enterprise developer systems
• Knowledge of API design and OpenAPI-first patterns
