Balance Sheet Strategy Analyst
Job Summary
Designing and maintaining financial models and data workflows, the remote Balance Sheet Strategy Analyst will evaluate loan sales and optimize balance sheet strategies while utilizing tools such as Excel, Power BI, and SQL to provide actionable insights.
Key responsibilities
- Own and enhance models and dashboards supporting loan portfolio strategy, comparing hold, sell, and participation alternatives
- Analyze pricing, expected sale proceeds, and future revenue tradeoffs to inform decision-making on loan sales
- Develop valuation and balance sheet optimization models incorporating various financial metrics and strategic objectives
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, data analytics, information systems, mathematics, or a related field
- Two to five years of experience in banking, commercial lending, treasury, capital markets, or portfolio analytics
- Strong financial modeling skills with advanced proficiency in Excel
- Experience developing Power BI data models and working with large financial datasets; SQL knowledge preferred
- Familiarity with data-integration platforms such as Matillion or Alteryx is beneficial
