Job Summary
Supporting the efficient management of bankruptcy matters, the full-time National Bankruptcy Paralegal will manage case activity from intake through resolution, prepare and file legal documents, and monitor court deadlines, all in a fully remote setting for candidates in the EST or CST time zones.
Key responsibilities
- Manage bankruptcy case activity from intake through resolution, ensuring accurate documentation and timely progression of all matters
- Prepare, review, and coordinate the filing of legal documents, motions, claims, notices, and related correspondence in accordance with court requirements
- Monitor court dockets, deadlines, hearings, and case developments to ensure prompt follow-up and compliance with procedural obligations
Required qualifications
- At least three years of experience supporting bankruptcy matters as a paralegal or in a similar legal support capacity
- Background working within a law firm, creditors' rights practice, or financial services environment focused on bankruptcy proceedings
- Working knowledge of Federal Bankruptcy Court processes and documentation requirements
- Experience utilizing CM/ECF for electronic court filings is strongly preferred
- Strong organizational abilities with the capacity to manage competing priorities and a high-volume caseload
