Job Summary

Experienced developers will find a fully remote opportunity as a Bare Developer, focusing on writing C and JavaScript for native modules, maintaining cross-platform builds, and contributing to the Bare runtime while managing end-to-end module development.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and ship native modules, including writing C native addons that bridge platform APIs into JavaScript
• Set up and maintain cross-platform builds and CI pipelines for macOS, Linux, Android, and iOS
• Debug native addon issues across multiple operating systems and maintain tests for all modules

Required qualifications

• Strong C programming skills with experience in writing and debugging native code across platforms
• Advanced JavaScript skills with a solid understanding of Node.js internals and the module ecosystem
• Experience building native addons for Node.js or similar runtimes
• Familiarity with asynchronous I/O frameworks and platform-specific system APIs
• Ability to navigate large C and C++ codebases and work independently
