Job Summary

To contribute to the development of a growing ecosystem of native modules, the full-time Bare Developer will write C and JavaScript code, debug across multiple operating systems, and maintain cross-platform builds in a 100% remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and ship native modules, including writing C native addons that bridge platform APIs into JavaScript
• Set up and maintain cross-platform builds and CI pipelines for macOS, Linux, Android, and iOS
• Debug native addon issues across various operating systems and maintain tests for all modules

Required qualifications

• Strong C programming skills with experience in writing and debugging native code across platforms
• Advanced JavaScript skills with a solid understanding of Node.js internals and the module ecosystem
• Experience building native addons for Node.js or similar runtimes
• Familiarity with asynchronous I/O frameworks like libuv
• Comfortable working with macOS, Linux, Android, and iOS build toolchains
