Job Summary

Seeking a skilled Bare Developer to work remotely on a full-time basis, responsible for designing and implementing native modules, maintaining cross-platform builds, and contributing to the Bare runtime while collaborating with product teams and debugging across multiple operating systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and ship native modules (e.g., bare-bluetooth, bare-tcp) including code and tests
• Set up and maintain cross-platform builds for macOS, Linux, Android, and iOS, while managing CI pipelines
• Debug native addon issues and contribute to the Bare runtime core, ensuring quality and performance

Required qualifications

• Strong C programming skills with experience in writing and debugging native code across platforms
• Advanced JavaScript skills and understanding of Node.js internals and the module ecosystem
• Experience building native addons for Node.js or similar runtimes
• Familiarity with asynchronous I/O frameworks like libuv
• Comfortable working with macOS, Linux, Android, and iOS build toolchains
