Bare Developer

Job Summary

Seeking a skilled Bare Developer to work remotely on a full-time basis, responsible for writing C and JavaScript native addons, managing cross-platform builds, and contributing to the Bare runtime while debugging and maintaining native modules.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and ship native modules, including writing C native addons that bridge platform APIs into JavaScript
• Set up and maintain cross-platform builds and CI pipelines for macOS, Linux, Android, and iOS
• Debug native addon issues across multiple operating systems and maintain tests for all modules

Required qualifications

• Strong C programming skills with experience in writing and debugging native code across platforms
• Advanced JavaScript skills with a solid understanding of Node.js internals and the module ecosystem
• Experience building native addons for Node.js or similar runtimes
• Familiarity with cross-compilation and platform-specific system APIs
• Self-directed work style with strong written communication skills
