Job Summary

To contribute to the development of a growing ecosystem of native modules, the fully remote Bare Developer will write C and JavaScript code, design and implement native addons, and maintain cross-platform builds while debugging across multiple operating systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and ship native modules, including writing C native addons that bridge platform APIs into JavaScript
• Set up and maintain cross-platform builds for macOS, Linux, Android, and iOS, while managing CI pipelines for testing native modules
• Debug native addon issues across various operating systems and devices, ensuring quality through comprehensive testing

Required qualifications

• Strong C programming skills with experience in writing and debugging native code across platforms
• Advanced JavaScript skills and a solid understanding of Node.js internals and the module ecosystem
• Experience building native addons for Node.js or similar runtimes
• Familiarity with libuv or other asynchronous I/O frameworks
• Comfortable working with macOS, Linux, Android, and iOS build toolchains
