Job Summary

To support the development of a growing ecosystem, the fully remote Bare Developer will design, implement, and maintain native modules in C and JavaScript while debugging across multiple operating systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and ship native modules and C addons that bridge platform APIs into JavaScript
• Set up and maintain cross-platform builds and CI pipelines for various operating systems
• Contribute to the Bare runtime core and debug native addon issues across multiple OS and device targets

Required qualifications

• Strong C programming skills with experience in writing and debugging native code across platforms
• Advanced JavaScript skills and a solid understanding of Node.js internals and the module ecosystem
• Experience building native addons for Node.js or similar runtimes
• Familiarity with asynchronous I/O frameworks like libuv
• Ability to navigate large C and C++ codebases and work across various build toolchains
