Basel III Subject Matter Expert

Job Summary

To support a short-term project, a contract Basel III Subject Matter Expert will conduct a gap analysis and remediation plan focused on capital calculations and regulatory reporting, working remotely with a preference for candidates in Charlotte, North Carolina or Atlanta, Georgia.

Key responsibilities

• Support the client on a Basel III gap analysis and remediation plan
• Assess current state capital calculations and regulatory reporting
• Deliver a gap assessment and remediation roadmap, with potential support for execution if extended

Required qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Basel III, including CET1, Tier 1, and Risk-Weighted Assets
• Experience with FR Y 9C (HC R) and/or Call Report (RC R)
• Proven ability to perform gap analysis and regulatory reporting reviews
• Strong understanding of data flows, mapping, and reconciliations in capital reporting
• Experience at a large US bank, regulatory program, or top consulting firm is preferred
