Job Summary

To support a growing Building Mechanical team, the full-time BC Licensed Senior Mechanical Engineer will lead the design and implementation of HVAC, plumbing, and fire sprinkler systems for water and wastewater projects while working remotely from British Columbia.

Key responsibilities
  • Develop HVAC, plumbing, and fire sprinkler calculations to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Interpret mechanical, plumbing, building, and fire codes to guide design implementation and maintain code alignment
  • Lead large projects with limited oversight, providing mentorship and guidance to less experienced team members
Required qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
  • Professionally licensed (P. Eng.) with the expectation to achieve licensure in British Columbia within 6 months of hire
  • Minimum of 10 years of building mechanical engineering or related experience
  • Proficiency in drafting and modeling software such as AutoCAD and Revit
  • Strong knowledge of fire protection and life-safety standards, building codes, and relevant mechanical, plumbing, and fire codes
