Behavioral Health Coding Auditor

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coding and Compliance Auditor-Behavioral Health.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducts operational and financial audits of provider claims to identify overpayments and resolve root cause issues
• Adjusts claim payments and adjudicates claims according to established recovery guidelines
• Identifies potential recovery projects and reports findings to management

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and related experience
• 5+ years of experience in Behavioral Health claims processing or health insurance, including 3 years in medical billing and coding
• CPC or CCS certification preferred
• Claim audit experience, preferably in Behavioral Health
• Intermediate to expert knowledge of medical terminology, CPT, ICD9, and HCPCS coding
