Behavioral Health Coding Educator

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Behavior Health Educator Coder.

Key Responsibilities

• Provides education and updates on coding and billing practices to ensure compliance with regulations
• Develops and implements educational content in collaboration with leadership and compliance teams
• Monitors coding resources and payer updates, and analyzes billing data for improvement opportunities

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of five years of experience in professional coding education and compliance documentation
• Certification as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Professional Medical Auditor (CPMA), or Certified Coding Specialist - Physician-based (CCS-P)
• Advanced knowledge of federal regulations related to coding and documentation compliance
• Experience in Behavior Health Educator Coding is preferred
