Job Summary
To support crisis line services, the part-time hourly Behavioral Health Dispatch Specialist will manage dispatch functions, facilitate the timely dispatch of mobile crisis teams, and assist in answering incoming crisis requests while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Receives and dispatches teams/clinicians effectively, ensuring accurate tracking and documentation of all interactions
- Adheres to call center policies and participates in training to enhance knowledge of behavioral health systems and crisis intervention
- Assists other Contact Center staff by screening incoming crisis requests and coordinating care to resolve crisis situations
Required qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in dispatch, contact center, or emergency services preferred
- GED or High School diploma required; must meet behavioral health work experience requirements
- Knowledge of community resources and behavioral health services
- Ability to operate multiple computer systems simultaneously
- Effective documentation skills in accordance with policies and procedures
