Behavioral Health Medical Director

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Behavioral Health Physician Reviewer (Medical Director).

Key Responsibilities

• Leverage medical expertise to review service requests and deliver evidence-based determinations
• Conduct peer-to-peer phone calls with external providers to discuss case determinations
• Ensure compliance with national guidelines and support internal workflows

Required Qualifications

• MD or DO degree with current board certification in Psychiatry; additional certification in Child & Adolescent or Addiction Medicine preferred
• 5 years of recent direct patient care experience
• Strong computer literacy and adeptness with technology
• Clean background without prior licensure issues or pending malpractice
• Must be fully committed to the job during scheduled hours, residing and working within the United States
