Behavioral Health Oncology Nurse

Job Summary

To support members living with cancer and complex behavioral health needs, the remote Behavioral Health Oncology Nurse will provide clinical assessments, coordinate care, and educate patients and caregivers while collaborating closely with the Care Team in a full-time capacity.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing nursing support and monitor member progress, establishing targeted support plans with the healthcare team
• Conduct telephonic assessments and ensure members have access to necessary medications and appointments
• Participate in interdisciplinary case conferences and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to optimize patient care

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing and an unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) compact license
• At least 5 years of nursing experience, including 2 years in complex behavioral health cases, with preferred experience in oncology nursing
• Certification as an Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) preferred, to be obtained within 2 years of hire
• Experience with technology such as electronic health records and communication platforms like Slack and Google Suite
• Strong collaborative skills and effective communication abilities to support high-quality, coordinated care
