Behavioral Health Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Behavioral Health Specialist (Temp).

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and prioritize incoming behavioral health authorization and inpatient admission requests
• Verify member eligibility and enter required data into the Jiva system accurately
• Communicate with healthcare providers for necessary clinical information and notify them of authorization decisions

Required Qualifications:

• Associate's Degree in Healthcare, Nursing, Social Work, or related area, or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a high-volume healthcare office or related field
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
• Familiarity with healthcare databases such as Jiva or FACETS is desirable
• Pre-employment background check required
