Behavioral Medical Director - TX or AZ

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Behavioral Medical Director responsible for overseeing the Utilization Management Program and performing peer reviews.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure delivery of cost-effective quality care incorporating recovery and person-centered services
• Oversee utilization review, management, and care coordination activities in collaboration with clinical leadership
• Maintain clinical integrity of the program through timely peer reviews and consultations with providers

Required Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy
• Current license to practice as a physician in Texas or Arizona
• Board certified in Psychiatry
• Understanding of engagement, empowerment, rehabilitation, and recovery principles
• Knowledge of post-acute care planning, including case management and disease management
