Job Summary
To support the Global Muslim Studies Division, the part-time Behavioral Scientist will design and execute empirical research studies, manage data collection, and conduct advanced statistical analyses, all while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Design and execute experimental studies and surveys using quantitative and qualitative methodologies
- Lead complex data collection initiatives, including qualitative interviews and focus groups
- Author and co-author academic papers, journal articles, and other high-level deliverables
Required qualifications
- PhD or Master's degree in Sociology, Economics, Epidemiology, Psychology, Criminology, Islamic Studies, or Education
- Strong proficiency in statistical software such as Stata, SPSS, MPlus, R, or Python
- Expertise in using Qualtrics for survey design and academic libraries for literature reviews
- Understanding of foundational Islamic ideas, concepts, and principles
- Demonstrated ability to produce academically rigorous work suitable for peer review
