Job Summary

Translating complex benefit information into clear, compliant language, the full-time remote Benefit Consultant will analyze, draft, and review legal documentation for self-funded plans while ensuring compliance with federal and state laws.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and draft legal and regulatory plan documentation, ensuring clarity and compliance
• Negotiate deadlines and influence enhancements to business processes for improved information quality
• Deliver high-quality documentation while correcting errors in spelling, grammar, and formatting

Required qualifications

• 1-2 years of plan writing experience for self-funded or fully insured plans
• 1-2 years of experience with plan restates and documentation
• Associates Degree or equivalent work experience (HS diploma + 2 years relevant experience)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Outlook
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
