Job Summary

Supporting timely access to specialty medications, the remote Benefits and Authorization Specialist will manage benefit verification and authorization activities for new referrals, ensuring accuracy and efficiency while collaborating with payers and Patient Access staff.

Key responsibilities

• Processes benefit verification or authorization for all new referrals with speed and accuracy
• Communicates coverage details and outcomes to Patient Access staff to support onboarding
• Assists Supervisor and Manager with special assignments as needed

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• Minimum of two years of related experience
• Ability to multi-task and manage numerous referrals/priorities simultaneously
• Strong self-discipline in maintaining productivity expectations
• Detail-oriented with a high degree of quality focus
