Benefits Authorization Specialist

Job Summary

Supporting timely access to specialty medications, the remote Benefits Authorization Specialist will process benefit verifications and authorizations for new referrals while residing in the Pacific or Mountain Time Zone.

Key responsibilities

• Processes benefit verification or authorization for all new referrals with speed and accuracy
• Communicates coverage details and outcomes to Patient Access staff to facilitate onboarding
• Assists Supervisor and Manager with special assignments as needed

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• Minimum of two years of experience in a related field
• Ability to multi-task and manage numerous referrals/priorities simultaneously
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality
