Benefits Consultant

Job Summary

Acting as an in-house subject matter expert, the full-time Benefits Consultant will support an internal communications team by providing strategic counsel on benefits programs and ensuring the accuracy of communications materials related to employee benefits in a remote capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Support the communications team in ensuring optimal understanding of benefits programs
• Provide updates on any changes in benefits or programs that will impact employee experience and communications materials
• Engage with third-party benefits vendors to interpret plan changes and translate them into actionable communications strategies

Required qualifications

• 5-7+ years of experience in employee benefits, including a broad range of benefit programs
• Strong knowledge of Summary Plan Descriptions (SPDs) and benefits-related materials
• Demonstrated experience reviewing and developing benefits communications for accuracy and clarity
• Experience utilizing project management tools to manage workflows and track deliverables
• Previous experience in a client-facing role, such as benefits consulting or account management
