Job Summary
A company is looking for a Benefits Manager to oversee the design and compliance of U.S. health and welfare benefit programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and evaluate health and welfare benefit programs in alignment with the company's total rewards strategy
- Ensure compliance with federal and state laws governing health benefits, including monitoring regulatory changes
- Collaborate with HR and communications teams to create educational materials and support employee inquiries regarding benefits
Required Qualifications
- Doctorate degree or a Master's degree with 2 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 4 years of experience, or an Associate's degree with 8 years of experience, or a high school diploma/GED with 10 years of experience in Human Resources/Benefits
- 6+ years of progressive experience in U.S. health benefits and knowledge of plan design and compliance
- Experience managing health benefits in Puerto Rico is preferred
- Strong understanding of federal and state health benefit regulations, including ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, and COBRA
- Experience with HRIS and benefit administration tools such as Workday or similar systems
