Benefits Operations Specialist

Job Summary

Managing the lifecycle of various benefit plans, the full-time Benefits Operations Specialist will oversee the creation, maintenance, and closure of Flexible Benefits, Health Reimbursement Arrangements, and Health Savings Accounts while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as an internal resource to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to benefit plans and employer configurations
• Create, update, and maintain participant plans, employer account balances, and process relevant demographic and enrollment files
• Identify trends to improve plan administration and ensure timely resolution of requests from internal and external departments

Required qualifications

• Strong understanding of benefit products, systems, and technical aspects related to benefits administration
• Experience in handling tier 3 escalations and resolving account discrepancies
• Knowledge of HIPAA policies and adherence to security protocols
• Ability to facilitate peer training and participate in ongoing learning opportunities
• Proven track record of maintaining quality and performance metrics in a remote work environment
