Benefits Specialist

Job Summary

To support retiree Health and Welfare plans, the remote contract Benefits Specialist will conduct needs assessments, manage compliance-related projects, and provide analytical support to internal teams for a duration of six months with the possibility of extension.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with the restatement of active and retirement Health and Welfare plans to ensure compliance with regulatory changes
• Analyze and prepare data from various sources for annual filings, including 5500s and CMS reports
• Oversee the administration of retirement Health and Welfare plans, including amendments and benefit change forms

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher
• Minimum of ten years of experience in benefits or human resources
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Experience with Oracle/HCM and database management
• Strong knowledge of ERISA compliance and regulatory reporting for Health and Welfare retirement benefits
