Job Summary
To support retiree Health and Welfare plans, the remote contract Benefits Specialist will conduct needs assessments, manage compliance-related projects, and provide analytical support to internal teams for a duration of six months with the possibility of extension.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with the restatement of active and retirement Health and Welfare plans to ensure compliance with regulatory changes
- Analyze and prepare data from various sources for annual filings, including 5500s and CMS reports
- Oversee the administration of retirement Health and Welfare plans, including amendments and benefit change forms
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- Minimum of ten years of experience in benefits or human resources
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Experience with Oracle/HCM and database management
- Strong knowledge of ERISA compliance and regulatory reporting for Health and Welfare retirement benefits
