Job Summary
Supporting the administration of employee benefits programs, the full-time remote Benefits Specialist will manage self-funded health plans, ensure compliance with regulations, and maintain accurate documentation while delivering high-quality service to internal stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, and ancillary plans
- Manage self-funded health plans, ensuring compliance and accurate processing
- Coordinate audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- 2-5 years of experience in benefits administration, particularly with self-funded health plans
- Working knowledge of benefits compliance requirements (ERISA, ACA, HIPAA)
- Experience maintaining benefits documentation and supporting audits
- Proficiency in HRIS/benefits systems and Microsoft Office Suite
