Job Summary
Resolving complex claim denials, the full-time Benefits Specialist - COB will work remotely to coordinate benefits, communicate with patients and insurance carriers, and ensure timely claim resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate and resolve coordination-of-benefits (COB) claim denials through insurance follow-up and policy verification
- Communicate with patients via inbound and outbound calls to collect missing information and provide claim updates
- Facilitate three-way calls with patients and insurance carriers to expedite resolution of complex claims
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in insurance follow-up, denials management, or medical billing
- Hands-on experience with hospital (UB-04) and professional (CMS-1500) billing
- Solid understanding of coordination of benefits, payer requirements, and claims resolution processes
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with patients
- Comfortable working in a remote, fast-paced, high-volume call environment
