Job Summary
Supporting the development of regional resource libraries, the full-time Bereavement Services Assistant will manage logistics for memorial services, schedule bereavement contacts, and partner with mailing services to ensure timely communication for hospice care centers in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Manage logistics and support for local memorial services and bereavement programs
- Schedule and complete bereavement contacts and appointments for high-risk cases
- Develop and maintain a directory of community resources to assist those experiencing grief
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field
- Knowledge of grief and bereavement counseling, including the needs of terminally ill patients and their caregivers
- Familiarity with general computer use, internet navigation, and online HR services
