BESS Engineering Lead

Job Summary

A company is looking for a BESS Engineering Lead.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technical design and optimization of energy storage systems, ensuring compliance with contractual and financial requirements
• Drive cross-functional collaboration to align project design with cost, performance, and land use
• Oversee technology selection and maintain engineering standards, ensuring safety and performance across projects

Required Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent; Master's or PhD preferred
• Minimum 4 years of experience in utility-scale PV and/or battery storage projects
• Deep technical expertise in lithium-ion battery systems and utility-scale power conversion systems
• Familiarity with applicable codes and standards for design and construction
• Proficiency in scripting or automation tools such as VBA, Matlab, or Python
