BI Engineer
Job Summary
To support a long-term contract engagement with a healthcare system, the remote BI Engineer will manage the enterprise Tableau environment, drive architectural decisions, mentor junior developers, and collaborate with business stakeholders while working MST hours and traveling once a month to Albuquerque, NM.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and governance of enterprise Tableau dashboards and workbooks
- Define and enforce Tableau development standards and performance optimization practices
- Architect scalable data source connections and manage L2/L3 support for complex Tableau incidents
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Economics, or a related quantitative field
- 6-12 years of enterprise Tableau development experience, including complex calculated fields and LOD expressions
- Advanced SQL proficiency, preferably with IBM DB2 and/or SQL Server
- Experience managing Tableau Server or Tableau Cloud administration
- Strong understanding of data modeling principles and enterprise data warehouse concepts
