Big Data Engineer

Job Summary

To support enterprise analytics and decision-making, the remote contract Big Data Engineer will design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and products while collaborating with business stakeholders and engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable data pipelines and data products
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into data models
• Optimize data transformations and ensure production readiness of data solutions

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, business intelligence, or software engineering
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms and data warehouses
• Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT processes and data transformation tools
