Job Summary
Seeking a full-time Big Data Infrastructure Engineer to remotely manage and optimize enterprise Big Data platforms, leveraging AI-assisted tools for operational efficiency and automation while administering Linux systems and databases.
Key responsibilities
- Leverage AI-assisted tools to enhance troubleshooting, operational efficiency, and documentation while validating outputs before implementation
- Administer, configure, and optimize Linux operating systems and manage databases like PostgreSQL and MySQL/MariaDB
- Support and maintain Docker and Kubernetes environments, ensuring high availability and performance of clustered and distributed systems
Required qualifications
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in Linux/System Administration, Database Administration, or Big Data Infrastructure
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of AI-assisted tools and automation technologies, including Shell/Bash and Python
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes, along with a solid understanding of distributed systems concepts
- Familiarity with the Hadoop ecosystem and related components such as HDFS, YARN, and Spark
