Bilingual Certified Medical Coder

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Bilingual/Spanish Certified Medical Coder II.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform retrospective coding and prospective CDI Opportunity Review to address clinical documentation issues
• Conduct audits to abstract data and improve clinical documentation accuracy and compliance
• Ensure adherence to coding guidelines and support diagnosis codes with appropriate documentation

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Successful completion of a coding license or certificates such as CPC, COC, CRC, CPMA, or CCS-P
• Minimum two (2) years of HCC specific coding experience
• Understanding of CMS HCC Risk Adjustment coding and data validation requirements
• Clinical background preferred
