Job Summary
To support a nonprofit's mission, the part-time Bilingual Customer Service Specialist will assist clients via a text-based helpline, providing information on local food resources while working remotely from Maryland, Texas, or Georgia.
Key responsibilities
- Respond to inbound text messages and occasional phone calls from clients seeking food assistance
- Listen empathetically to clients and refer them to appropriate food resources
- Collaborate with a small remote team while maintaining a flexible schedule for varying shift assignments
Required qualifications
- Fluency in both English and Spanish, with strong written communication skills
- Typing speed of 50+ words per minute
- Experience in customer service, hospitality, or community care is preferred
- Ability to work between 4 to 29 hours per week, with availability during 9am-6pm ET any day of the week
- Access to a computer with stable internet and a quiet workspace for remote work
