Job Summary

A company is looking for a VEC Eligibility Worker (Public Benefits Specialist) who is bilingual in Russian and English.

Key Responsibilities

• Interview applicants by phone to assess eligibility for various public benefits
• Perform eligibility determinations, redeterminations, and periodic reviews
• Provide person-centered services and communicate eligibility decisions to applicants

Required Qualifications

• One year of experience as a Human Services Specialist 1 for the State of Oregon; or
• Two years of experience working with the public in a relevant capacity; or
• An associate degree in a related field and six months of public assistance experience; or
• An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Russian is required
