Job Summary
Providing essential support to families seeking to foster or adopt, the part-time hourly Bilingual Foster Care Adoption Resource Specialist will respond to inquiries from Spanish-speaking families, share information about the foster care process, and connect families with local resources, all while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Respond to inquiries from prospective foster and adoptive families via phone and email, providing necessary information and referrals
- Assist in the maintenance and enhancement of the National Adoption and Foster Care Information Exchange System by collaborating with state administrators and child welfare professionals
- Participate in team meetings and professional development activities, contributing to the overall support and development of AdoptUSKids projects
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in social work (BSW) or a closely related field
- At least 2 years of professional experience in public child welfare, adoption, or foster care
- Fluency in Spanish, with demonstrated oral and written proficiency
- Experience working with diverse populations, including military families and individuals with disabilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with client databases
