Bilingual Medicare Eligibility Specialist

Job Summary

Working remotely, the part-time Bilingual Medicare Eligibility Specialist will advocate for members by assisting them with Medicaid and Medicare applications, ensuring accurate enrollment, and navigating complex eligibility requirements through compassionate communication.

Key responsibilities

• Make and receive calls to assist members with Medicaid and Medicare applications and retention
• Determine eligibility for benefits through structured questioning and explain regulations in simple terms
• Gather and verify personal and financial information to ensure accurate enrollment and compliance with regulatory standards

Required qualifications

• Fluency in Spanish (speak, read, write)
• 2-3 years of experience in healthcare, eligibility screening, case management, or high-touch customer service
• Knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, SCHIP, or Special Needs Plans (SNP) is preferred
• Proficiency in navigating multiple software systems and tools, including Microsoft Teams and Outlook
• Ability to manage high-volume phone engagements while maintaining professionalism and empathy
