Key Responsibilities

• Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and network participation
• Explain deductibles, copays, and estimated out-of-pocket costs to patients
• Document benefit details and patient conversations accurately within Athena

Required Qualifications

• 2-3+ years of experience in healthcare billing, insurance verification, or patient financial counseling
• Bilingual in English and Spanish required
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
• Strong understanding of insurance verification and patient financial responsibility
• Experience working within payer portals and EMR systems
