Job Summary
Providing trauma-informed support, the part-time Bilingual Support Specialist will assist users of the National Sexual Assault Hotline during overnight shifts, focusing on crisis intervention and resource connection in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Answer inbound crisis-intervention calls and online chats, delivering compassionate support to hotline users
- Maintain knowledge of specific client needs and provide timely referrals and resources to users
- Collaborate with hotline staff to ensure high-quality service delivery and assist with quality assurance efforts
Required qualifications
- Fluency in English and proficiency in Spanish, with a requirement to pass a proficiency test
- Minimum of one year of experience in social services, customer service, or crisis intervention
- Ability to type at least 35 words per minute
- Proficiency in Google Workspace applications for communication and data management
- Willingness to work a non-traditional schedule, including evenings and holidays
