Billing Advocate

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Billing Advocate will manage the submission and follow-up of inpatient and outpatient claims to government payors, ensuring accurate and timely reimbursement for healthcare services.

Key responsibilities

• Process and submit claims, verifying eligibility and correcting errors as needed
• Track claim statuses and communicate with insurance payors to resolve outstanding issues
• Assist in preparing claims reports and coordinate with client hospitals regarding accounts

Required qualifications

• High School diploma required
• 1+ years' experience in hospital or professional claim billing and follow-up preferred
• Experience with electronic medical records such as EPIC, Cerner, or Meditech preferred
• Good working knowledge of MS Office and Windows required
• Ability to effectively communicate in a professional manner with colleagues and clients
