Billing Agent

Job Summary

To support a growing healthcare practice, the part-time Billing Agent will ensure accurate insurance information and benefits verification while providing exceptional customer service remotely on a contract basis.

Key responsibilities

• Contact patients to collect missing insurance information and verify eligibility and benefits
• Document all insurance verification details accurately within patient records
• Assist patients with payment methods and Financial Responsibility Forms prior to appointments

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Customer Support, healthcare operations, or a similar role
• Experience with insurance verification and patient billing processes
• Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft 365
• Strong Excel and reporting skills
• Familiarity with Waystar, Availity, or eClinicalWorks is a plus
