Job Summary
Monitoring billing operations for ambulatory pharmacy accounts, the full-time Billing Analyst I will ensure accurate charge documentation, reconcile discrepancies, and assist in resolving charge disputes in a hybrid work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure all ambulatory and specialty third-party charges are paid and identify reimbursement losses
- Audit charts to verify charge documentation and recommend workflow changes to reduce charge capture issues
- Interface with Nursing, Vendors, and Supply Chain to reconcile discrepancies in charge and procedural documentation
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 1-3 years' experience with pharmacy or hospital billing operations
- Proven knowledge of CPT and ICD-9 coding systems; certification required within twelve months of hire
- Successful completion of a medical terminology class
- Familiarity with large healthcare information systems such as IDX, OACIS, EPIC, and/or Last Word preferred
