Billing and Payment Analyst

Job Summary

To enhance financial performance and operational excellence, the remote Billing and Payment Analyst will identify, analyze, and rectify billing inaccuracies with Third Party Payors while maximizing hospital reimbursement and documenting trends for departmental communication.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate reimbursement issues and interpret complex contract language to ensure compliant billing
• Build contract reimbursement into the system and identify trends to develop actionable solutions
• Document findings and disseminate information to department heads, medical staff, and contracting staff

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or a related field
• 2-5 years of experience in healthcare finance, managed care, decision support, or revenue cycle roles
• In-depth knowledge of managed care contract language and billing/coding regulations
• Experience with Epic hospital-based reimbursement contracts is preferred
