Billing Collection Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Billing Collection Representative responsible for resolving unpaid insurance accounts.

Key Responsibilities

• Develops positive relationships with payer representatives to ensure timely account collection
• Investigates and resolves issues related to pended claims
• Accurately posts resolutions to accounts and maintains provider manuals for assigned insurance carriers

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Medical Billing Certificate preferred
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience required; 5 years preferred
• Experience in processing and billing physician claims required
• Proficiency in MS Office and knowledge of CPT and ICD coding required
