Billing Collections Supervisor

Job Summary

Supervising billing collections for commercial payers, the full-time Supervisor Billing Collections will manage patient account functions, oversee collections, and ensure adherence to departmental budgets, while working remotely with occasional onsite meetings in Akron, Ohio.

Key responsibilities

• Supervises staff, providing direction, coaching, training, and performance management
• Oversees patient account collections and monitors internal collection performance standards
• Prepares and manages departmental budgets to maintain expenditure controls

Required qualifications

• Associate's degree in Accounting or related field; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in patient accounting and healthcare revenue cycle
• Experience with claim forms/formats (UB-04/1500) and coding (ICD-9, CPT, HCPCS)
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and Medicaid/Medicaid HMO regulations
• Proficiency in MS Office and experience with automated billing systems preferred
