Job Summary

A company is looking for a Billing Follow Up Rep I to manage insurance claims and collections.

Key Responsibilities

• Submit insurance claims accurately and timely, ensuring all necessary documentation is included
• Contact patients and insurance companies for efficient collection follow-up and payment arrangements
• Monitor and correct claim rejections, ensuring timely resubmission and documentation of all billing activities

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2-3 years of healthcare billing or collection experience, preferably in a hospital setting
• Familiarity with medical terminology and electronic billing systems
• Basic understanding of CPT4, HCPCS, modifiers, and ICD-9CM
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
